The JVA Wolves had hoped to get off to a quick start, but unfortunately found themselves down 0-2 within the first 10 minutes. They conceded a corner set piece goal followed quickly by a breakaway counter goal, and never could recover. Thereafter, the Wolves demonstrated grit and determination with improved play, they just could not find the back of the net. WN tacked on a 3rd goal midway through the second half and the match ended 0-3. The Wolves battled evenly, other than the score.
The Varsity Wolves then went toe-to-toe with the Warriors, and played well until an old nemesis appeared towards the end of the first half when WN scored twice on set pieces. The boys played well and this was a fairly even contest other than the two first half goals. They just struggled once again in the final third, rarely challenging the Warrior goalie. WN tacked on a third goal in the second half, but otherwise, the match was fairly even and the Wolves played hard and well but suffered their third straight shutout loss, 0-3.
The Wolves hope to get back to winning ways as they head into the final week of the season, hosting Olentangy Liberty on Saturday afternoon.
